About the Job
The Data Entry Clerk role is a critical position within our organization, responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer tasks for Alternative Investments. As a key member of our team, you will be accountable for processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks recognized between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents. Your expertise will also be utilized in processing Corporate Activity Activities, settling and reconciling transactions, and processing and reconciling returns activity.
Key Responsibilities
Processing trade deal purchases in customer profiles and identifying/addressing breaks recognized between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents
Processing of Corporate Activity Activities, settling/reconciling transactions, and processing/reconciling returns activity
Analysis of complex/escalated issues, testing/validation of new technology enhancements, and provider changes
Completion of projects in Trading, Dividends, Transfers, Reconciliation, and Corporate Actions that directly impact the Client/Advisor profile
Collaboration with Retail and Institutional Service Teams using email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce
Interaction with external business partners, including fund companies, transfer agents, and opposite agencies
Duties and Analysis
As a Data Entry Clerk, your duties will include:
Review of subscription deals or transfer requests
Client/Advisor amount exceptions
Regulatory commitments (e.g., 2340 and 15C3-3)
Reconciliation of Business, Dividend, and Transactions Breaks
Reconciling across BOS and Fund Companies
Review and analysis of correct tax coding and corrections of tax coding
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
In this role, you will be expected to:
Identify and resolve internal/external system improvements or issues
Determine the root cause of breaks between TDA, the Fund, and other external partners
Provide method or technology solution alternatives to Management
Remediate transfer issues with the Fund or Opposite Firm, Client, or Business Partner
Respond to business partner inquiries regarding Fund information requirements/eligibility
Follow up on Substitute Investment moves to expedite customer requests or remediate not neat issues
Promptly and correctly complete client investing and dividend requests
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
Essential: High school diploma or equivalent; basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Preferred: Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business, finance, or administration); experience in data entry, customer service, or a related field
