**Responsibilities**

As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners
* Typing in data provided directly from customers with precision and speed
* Creating spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without errors, ensuring data integrity and consistency
* Verifying data by comparing it to source documents, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail
* Updating existing data to reflect changes and ensure data currency
* Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and accurate responses to stakeholders
* Performing regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent losses
* Sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it's not lost or misplaced

**Essential Qualifications**

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, business administration) preferred
* 1-2 years of experience in data entry, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with database management systems (e.g., Access, SQL)
* Excellent typing skills, with a minimum of 40 words per minute (wpm) typing speed
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
* Understanding of data confidentiality principles and the ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role
