About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to join the Information Engineering and Analytics team within the Technology group at blithequark. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data engineering solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy data analytics solutions, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and tools to drive innovation and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with source data application teams and product owners to design, implement, and support analytics solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions. Develop and deploy data migration and data engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies, including data warehousing, data lake, and data analytics tools. Perform multiple aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, cloud engineering, ingestion, transformation, data modeling, testing, CICD pipelines, performance tuning, and deployment. Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment, as well as work independently to drive projects forward. Be part of a DevOps team that owns and supports their product, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Develop and implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies. Drive the development of coding standards, best practices, and security and compliance guidelines. Mentor and coach others on technical and domain skills to build multi-functional teams. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong foundation in software engineering, data analytics, and cloud computing. The ideal candidate will have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. 3+ years of programming experience using agile, DevOps, and product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions. 3+ years of data analytics experience using SQL. 2+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (preferably Microsoft Azure), including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Power BI. A blend of development, operations, and support experience in several of the following tools/platforms: Scripting: Python, SQL, Unix. Data Platforms: Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake. Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Azure Functions. CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform. BI Analytics Tool Stack - Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Denodo, and Grafana. Data Warehousing: DataStage, Informatica. Data Governance and Security: Informatica Axon and EDC, BigID. Preferred Qualifications To take your application to the next level, you will need to demonstrate: 5+ years of programming experience using agile, DevOps, and product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions. 5+ years of data analytics experience using SQL. 3+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in Azure. 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (preferably Microsoft Azure), including Azure EventHub, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Applications, and Power BI. Aircraft industry experience. Skills, Licenses, and Certifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess: Proficiency in the Azure technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation, and consumption layers. Ability to provide technical guidance within the Azure Native cloud services. Azure Development Track Certification (preferred). Python Certification (preferred). Compensation and Perks The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
