Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients seeking genetic testing services. Obtain prior authorizations from insurance companies for genetic testing services. Navigate complex insurance processes to ensure timely authorization and coverage for patients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and procedures. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve any issues with coverage or authorizations. Keep detailed records of prior authorizations and insurance verification processes. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient insurance verification and authorization process. Identify and escalate any potential issues or barriers to obtaining insurance coverage or authorizations. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in obtaining insurance coverage and authorizations. Stay informed of industry changes and updates in insurance policies and procedures. Continuously monitor and improve processes related to insurance verification and prior authorizations. Complete all tasks and responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
