As a Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in deploying, maintaining, and supporting Google's advanced Data Center Server and Network Infrastructure. About Google's Hardware Operations The Hardware Operations group is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and deploying the physical infrastructure that powers Google's effective search era. We are a team of engineers who love taking things apart and rebuilding them to make them better. Key Responsibilities Contribute to and lead efforts/tasks in the deployment, maintenance, and support of modern and new data center infrastructure. Participate in or lead complex troubleshooting and solve critical or escalated technical problems. Test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on servers. Deploy and maintain Google's advanced Data Center Server and Network Infrastructure. Collaborate with teams to overcome problems and ensure that goals, missions, and tasks are effectively delivered. Develop and implement project contingency plans. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Knowledge of Linux tools and troubleshooting hardware/community problems. Experience working in a data center or network operation center environment . Knowledge of troubleshooting and diagnosing computer, server, and network hardware . Preferred Qualifications Experience with mild coding or scripting . Experience in project management and leadership . Experience with networking protocols . Ability to collaborate and associate with teams to overcome problems . Compensation and Benefits The US base revenue range for this full-time role is $77,000-$110,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our revenue tiers are determined by function, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the location across all US locations.
