About the Role: Analyst in the Compliance Group
This role is part of the Compliance Group within the People/HR Division at American Airlines. As an Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining legal and regulatory compliance by researching and communicating requirements. Key Responsibilities
Support the HR Compliance team and Operations with tasks including obtaining fingerprint/background investigation results and processing fingerprint clearance letters; maintaining relationships with TSA, Airport Authority Boards, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal Services; faxing/monitoring US Customs results; and data entry.
Process daily FBI fingerprints into the Access database and investigate any database issues.
Prepare and analyze HR Compliance data between various files, working closely with HRIS and EC systems.
Conduct advanced analytics, custom reporting/dashboards, and standardize all data used for HR Compliance.
Collaborate with clients and the team on an ongoing basis.
Review completed Fingerprint Applications and check for accuracy and any retransmission of fingerprints to the TSA Clearinghouse.
Essential Qualifications and Preferred Capabilities
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge of Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) applications.
Familiarity with the TSA Clearinghouse database.
Advanced Excel skills, including formatting, creating complex formulas, and Vlookup.
Advanced Access skills.
The ability to interpret large sets of data to develop meaningful reports.
Excellent analytical skills and strong organizational abilities.
The capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proven problem-solving skills.
The ability to enforce fair and consistent application of company policies and government requirements.
The ability to educate business units on government requirements, internal and external processes, and outcomes.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
