About the Role
As a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you will have the unique opportunity to provide critical support to individuals enrolling in public benefit programs. Your role will involve answering inbound calls, interacting with customers in a professional and compassionate manner, and providing information in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will be the first point of contact for many individuals seeking assistance, and your empathetic approach will help ensure that callers receive the support they need, making a tangible impact on their well-being and peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities

Answering inbound calls and interacting with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner
Providing information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and privacy laws
Assisting customers with program enrollment and routing them to the appropriate contacts via three-way calls
Assisting customers with their communication needs, such as relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments and translation services for callers who don't speak English
Placing outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers
Using multiple computer systems to access data and document information


About You
To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of customer service experience. Knowledge of public benefit programs and prior experience in a health or human services setting is highly desirable, but not required. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, great active listening skills, and strong attention to detail. You should also be proficient in using computer systems and have the ability to quickly learn new applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of public benefit programs
Prior experience in a health or human services setting
Experience working in a call center environment
Bilingual or multilingual skills


Your Home Office Environment
To be a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you will need a dedicated home office environment that meets our technical requirements. This includes:

A computer with Windows 10 or 11 operating system, 8GB of RAM, and a sound card
Access to high-speed, hardwired internet
Dual monitors
A USB noise-cancelling headset
A webcam for certification and training purposes


Flexible Hours of Operation
As a Customer Support Representative at arenaflex, you will enjoy flexible scheduling, with the ability to choose your own hours within our client's hours of operation. Our hours of operation are:

Monday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET
Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM ET
Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM ET
Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM ET


Pay and Perks
This flexible opportunity pays independent contractors $13 per hour. As a remote, independent contractor, you will enjoy significant savings in expenses related to transportation, clothing, childcare or eldercare, and food. You may also qualify for home office tax deductions, but you should consult with an accountant to determine eligibility.
