About Cornerstone Brands

Cornerstone Brands is a family of interactive, aspirational home and apparel lifestyle brands, including Ballard Designs®, Frontgate®, Grandin Road®, and Garnet Hill®. We operate separate ecommerce sites for each brand, distribute 163 million catalogs annually, and have 22 retail and outlet stores. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be working with our Cornerstone Brands, providing top-notch support to our customers from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities


Handle a high volume of inbound customer inquiries, providing timely and effective solutions to their concerns
Personalize the customer experience by actively listening to their needs and responding with empathy and professionalism
Manage customer calls, including confirming refunds, taking payments, placing orders, and analyzing account data
Navigate multiple systems and screens to resolve customer issues efficiently
Troubleshoot technical problems and collaborate with IT when necessary
Work a set schedule, including weekends, holidays, and additional hours as required
Report to your Customer Service Supervisor and participate in ongoing training and development


Essential Qualifications


Reside in one of the approved counties in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky (listed below)
Ability to problem-solve and de-escalate unique customer situations while maintaining a high-paced call volume
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to various customer styles, peers, and leaders
Proficiency in navigating multiple systems and screens
Ability to work in a virtual environment with a set schedule and structured day
Technical skills, including a self-provided computer or laptop with a Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows 10 or newer, and a high-speed internet connection

Indiana counties: Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Jefferson, Ohio, Ripley, or Switzerland County
Kentucky counties: Bath, Boone, Boyd, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Fleming, Gallatin, Grant, Greenup, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Montgomery, Owen, Pendleton, Robertson, or Rowan County
Ohio counties: Brown, Butler, Clark, Clinton, Clermont, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Highland, Licking, Madison, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Preble, Union, or Warren County


Preferred Qualifications


Previous customer service experience, particularly in a call center or retail environment
Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays

Training and Development

Our six-week paid training program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a Customer Service Representative. You'll receive comprehensive training on our systems, processes, and products, as well as ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure your continued growth and development.

System Requirements

To ensure a seamless customer experience, we require our Work at Home Team Members to maintain the necessary system requirements, including:


A self-provided computer or laptop with a Microsoft Windows operating system, Windows 10 or newer, and no more than three years old
A headset compatible with Cornerstone Brands specifications (we reimburse $75 for headset)
A high-speed internet connection (satellite, broadband, wireless, or dial-up services are not supported)
