You can learn more about MDwise, Inc. at . Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling daily member telephone calls, directing members to the proper services needed, educating members, problem-solving, and creating linkages to the Medical Management Department for authorization of services. You may also be responsible for assisting providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues. This is a temporary, fully remote position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic healthcare organization and make a positive impact on the lives of our members. Key Responsibilities: Handle daily member telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner Direct members to the proper services needed, including medical management and other healthcare services Educate members on their health plan benefits and services Problem-solve and resolve member complaints and concerns Create linkages to the Medical Management Department for authorization of services Assist providers with eligibility, benefit, and resolution of claims issues Meet or exceed performance standards for customer service, including quality, productivity, and attendance Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or equivalent certification At least one (1) year of experience in a customer service related role with direct contact with customers via telephone, email, chat, and/or face-to-face Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: One (1) year of experience in a physician health care office environment or high-volume call center One (1) year of experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO, and Managed Care functions Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong customer service skills and ability to provide excellent service to members and providers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At MIG, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
