Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team, specializing in property and casualty insurance. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our clients and agents, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and providing expert guidance on personal lines insurance policies. Key Responsibilities Diagnose customer requests, provide solutions, and utilize a structured thought process to achieve results while balancing customers' needs with company/carrier guidelines. Manage call metrics, including call quality, average handle time, availability, and hold times, to ensure adherence to department standards. Prioritize and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions, following standard operating procedures. Develop successful customer relationships via telephone and/or chat, ensuring the highest level of customer service and taking ownership of each call until resolution is reached. Utilize knowledge of automated systems to review and issue non-premium bearing endorsements, answer questions, document conversations, and update files. Request additional documentation necessary for processing endorsements and cancellations, and communicate effectively with individuals/teams to ensure high-quality and timely expedition of customer requests. Assist agents with policy-related questions and system-related queries, providing expert guidance and support. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should possess: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with a business degree preferred. Two to four years of agency experience in Personal Lines, including homeowners and other lines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough knowledge of Property/Casualty Insurance operations and policy elements. Active 4-40 licenses are preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and resolving complex issues. Strong knowledge of insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with automated systems and software applications, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
