Job Overview As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will have the flexibility to telecommute from the comfort of your own home in Oregon, taking on challenging and rewarding responsibilities that directly improve health outcomes. You will provide expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers, ensuring that they receive the care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources they need to feel their best. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for: Answering incoming phone calls from healthcare providers and identifying the type of assistance they need Focusing on resolving issues on the first call, navigating through complex computer systems to identify the status of the issue and provide an appropriate response to the caller Delivering information and answering questions in a positive manner to facilitate strong relationships with providers and their staff Completing the documentation necessary to track provider issues and facilitate the reporting of overall trends Developing knowledge of insurance packages and navigating through complex computer systems Working in a high-volume setting, developing problem-solving skills to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience To be at least 18 years old 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications Experience with listening skillfully, collecting relevant information, building rapport, and responding to customers in a compassionate manner Experience with problem-solving to quickly assess the current state and formulate recommendations Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM from Monday - Friday, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime based on business need Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 1 year of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) in a medical setting using phones and computers as the primary job tools 1 year of experience in a high-volume call center environment Telecommuting Requirements To be eligible for this remote opportunity, you must: Reside within the state of Oregon Have the ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy Live in a location that can receive a blithequark-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
