About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to join our team at Wayfair. As a Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of customer support specialists, providing training and coaching, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. This is a remote work opportunity, and you will be working from the comfort of your own home in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of 8-16 customer support specialists at various skill levels
Supervise specialists answering calls and emails from customers seeking help with post-order issues, including returns, replacements, refunds, shipping status, and other issues that may arise during the order fulfillment process
Provide excellent training and coaching to help specialists meet customer needs and achieve standard goals
Support the professional growth of specialists through regular feedback and development conversations
Conduct side-by-side observations and quality assurance (name monitoring) reviews
Monitor call queue efficiencies to ensure timely outreach to customers and follow-up when necessary
Analyze trends based on historical data to close performance gaps
Support the team's unique projects or tasks with the management team
Makes recommendations and/or take corrective actions to manage performance as needed and be a key part of the disciplinary and termination process
Work closely with Human Resources and Senior Leadership to address and resolve employee issues
Effectively interview and advise applicants for hire
Respond in a professional and courteous manner to escalated customer support inquiries, requests, or proceedings to achieve a positive resolution

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent customer-facing and management work experience
