As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the face of Southwest Airlines, extending hospitality to our customers at the ticket counter, baggage service office, and gate area. Key Responsibilities

Offer friendly support and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers
Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
Provide excellent customer service to individuals seeking to travel, use cargo or baggage services by handling their needs
Handle all aspects of ticketing and check-in by operating an electronic retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
Greet and handle customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
Process transactions, make change, and balance daily transactions, being accountable for any overage or shortage
Check in baggage and cargo, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page customers, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed
Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner
Manage upset customers due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving issues quickly and within guidelines set by the organization
Provide current and accurate admission, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from customers and other airport visitors
Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
Prepare irregularity and complaint reports as needed


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's degree and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You should be able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, previous experience in customer service or a related field would be an asset. You should be able to type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job and be able to understand reports, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing techniques, rules, and regulations.
