About the Role As a Project Manager - Software Development (Customer-Facing) at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role in leading our software development projects from inception to completion. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and the development team. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Customer-Facing Communications: Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle, understanding and articulating client requirements to ensure alignment between project deliverables and customer expectations. Proactively manage and resolve client issues or concerns while maintaining a positive and professional relationship. Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to drive project success. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment to encourage productivity and creativity, providing guidance, support, and motivation to team members. Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively. Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and documentation to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Proven experience (3 years) in project management, specifically in software development projects, with a focus on customer-facing communications. A strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello). Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams. Solid organizational and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with remote teams and managing distributed projects. Familiarity with cloud-based project management tools and software development platforms. Certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) or software development methodologies. A strong network of professional contacts within the software development and IT industry.
