About Google Cloud and the Role

As a Customer Engineer supporting our Client Security Services business, you will be at the forefront of this revolution, working closely with clients to understand their security needs and develop tailored solutions to address them. Your mission will be to empower clients to achieve their goals by harnessing the full potential of Google Cloud Security products.

Key Responsibilities


Collaborate with Security Sales and Google Cloud teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand client technical and compliance objections, and develop strategies to overcome technical blockers.
Maintain a high level of technical expertise and work with Google Cloud Security products to demonstrate and validate solution benefits in client and partner environments, staying up-to-date with industry trends and insights.
Support Google Cloud Security opportunities and relationships by being responsible for technical aspects of solutions, including delivering compelling technical presentations, product and solution briefings, proofs-of-concept, and demos to clients, partners, and Google Cloud Platform partners.
Develop and deliver messaging to highlight our solution value proposition using various methods, including whiteboard and slide presentations, product demonstrations, white papers, trial services, and request for information response documents.
Attend client sites, meetings, and other related events as necessary, representing Google Cloud and its security solutions.


Essential Qualifications


A four-year college education or equivalent relevant experience.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working with security or cloud native models in a customer-facing or technical sales engineering role.
Hands-on experience with cybersecurity matters such as threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management frameworks.
Proven ability to communicate complex technical information effectively and deliver compelling technical presentations.


Preferred Qualifications


A postgraduate education in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Certification in Cloud or Security industry, demonstrating expertise and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments.
Experience implementing enterprise security solutions such as threat detection and hunting, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, or identity and access management frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of broad product and solution market trends in the cybersecurity industry, including emerging threats and technologies.
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
