Experienced Customer Engineer for Distributed Cloud Solutions – Strategic Pursuits and Technical Leadership

About the Role As a Customer Engineer in blithequark Distributed Cloud, you will be the technical expert and point of contact for our strategic customers and accounts with non-standard requests and innovation needs. You will work closely with our sales and pre-sales teams to offer and deliver complex distributed cloud solutions, leading conversations on cutting-edge cloud offers and driving decisions to align with blithequark Cloud services and delivery team innovation and capabilities. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving business growth and delivering quality technical solutions and services to our customers. Key Responsibilities Create and execute on new cloud offers, creating the business case, getting alignment from respective teams, addressing budget needs, getting executive buy-in, securing customers, driving customers to prove offers, and scaling offers to field once proven successful. Act as a technical advisor and point of contact for strategic customers and accounts with non-standard requests and innovation needs. Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior cross-functional key stakeholders in customer and/or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services. Strategize surrounding solution code development in collaboration with internal or external developers/users/partners/clients/stakeholders (as needed). Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required, acting as a public advocate for blithequark Cloud. Qualifications Essential Qualifications 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. 8 years of experience in system design and one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.). 3 years of experience using ML/AI and building solutions. Experience with edge computing, distributed systems, or data center transformation. Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders. Ability to communicate in English and Portuguese fluently in order to interact with local stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems. Experience in data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses. Experience managing distributed teams on large-scale programs globally. Ability to learn quickly, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
