Job Summary As a Chat Moderator at Blithequark, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Discord server remains a welcoming and respectful environment for all users. This part-time, remote position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team. Your primary focus will be on moderating chat, enforcing community guidelines, and fostering a positive online experience. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and moderate the official Discord server, ensuring that all interactions align with our community guidelines. Delete messages that violate server rules, taking prompt action to maintain a respectful environment. Ban or mute users who repeatedly violate server rules, following a clear and consistent enforcement process. Investigate reports from users regarding potential rule violations, gathering evidence and making informed decisions. Collaborate with the community management team to develop and implement strategies for community engagement and growth. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in community management and moderation. Qualifications: To be successful as a Chat Moderator at Blithequark, you will need: A minimum age of 18 years old. A High School Diploma or GED. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently in a remote setting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Familiarity with Discord and its moderation tools. Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in community management or moderation. Knowledge of online community building and engagement strategies. Familiarity with programming languages or software development.
