Purpose of the Position As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining software products within our Location Intelligence line of business. You'll have ownership of the code base and all related build processes and automation, working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and drive project success. Key Responsibilities Develop, enhance, and maintain software products in the geocoding and addressing domain, leveraging your expertise in C++ programming. Analyze and solve complex software problems, collaborating with the team to identify and implement effective solutions. Create and maintain a high-quality C/C++ code base, adhering to best practices and coding standards. Effectively use Git for building and managing code, ensuring seamless integration with the team's workflow. Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and insights to improve the overall quality of the codebase. Work within an agile Scrum team, embracing the principles of iterative development and continuous improvement. Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering, combined with a passion for C++ development. The ideal candidate will possess: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid grounding in software development principles. 7-10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. Proven experience in C/C++ programming language, with a deep understanding of its applications and best practices. Understanding and implementation of automated software testing and Quality Assurance methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A strong work ethic, with a team-oriented, creative, cooperative, and exceptional problem-solving mindset. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience with geospatial data and Location Intelligence applications. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and Scrum framework. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
