Job Overview We are seeking a qualified and passionate Behavior Technician to join our team in Hillsboro, OH. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work 1:1 with students on the Autism Spectrum, ages 3-22, in home and potentially community settings. Your primary focus will be on implementing programming, under the guidance of a consultant, to address the Individual Education Plan goals for each student. This may include academic, behavioral, and vocational goals, providing you with a diverse and engaging workload. With flexible scheduling and the potential to work virtually, this role offers an ideal balance of structure and autonomy, perfect for individuals pursuing a career in Special Education or Applied Behavioral Analysis. Key Responsibilities Apply the principles of behavior science to tutor students and effectively manage behaviors as needed Run data-driven practices as assigned, utilizing techniques such as Precision Teaching and discrete-trial training Implement direct instruction programs and techniques, using explicit instruction as assigned Perform habit training duties and maintain accurate records of student progress Arrange and maintain a safe and effective learning environment, adhering to behavior management programs assigned to each student Submit all data and records by established deadlines, ensuring seamless communication with the multidisciplinary team Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess an Associate's degree or higher in a related field, such as Special Education, Psychology, or Applied Behavioral Analysis. While experience working with students with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders is preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about education and willing to learn. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with students, families, and colleagues to achieve shared goals.
