Job Summary

As an Automation Engineering Leader, you will play a critical role in identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions that improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction across Walmart's global supply chain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to drive business growth, reduce costs, and enhance the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities


Automation Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute automation strategies and plans that align with Walmart's business objectives, including identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains.
Business Case Development: Create business cases that demonstrate the value and ROI of automation investments, including identifying and evaluating new technologies, vendors, and solutions.
Project Leadership: Lead and influence cross-functional teams to design, test, and implement automation solutions across various global markets, including stores, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers.
Innovation and Technology Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new technologies, vendors, and solutions that can be leveraged to drive innovation and excellence in supply chain operations, including robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Change Management and Adoption: Develop and implement change management plans to ensure successful adoption of automation solutions across the organization, including training and support for end-users.
Performance Metrics and Analysis: Develop and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of automation investments, including identifying areas for improvement and optimizing processes.


Essential Qualifications


Experience: 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, supply chain operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving innovation and excellence in operations.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including robotics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, as well as experience with automation suppliers and their solution capabilities.
Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop insights that inform business decisions.
