Job Summary and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of topics in our curriculum, including communications strategies for social justice, social justice media, digital public relations, and campaigns. The ability to teach other courses in advertising and public relations will be considered an asset. Key responsibilities for this position include: Teaching both in-residence and online courses as needed Providing student advising and mentoring to support academic success Contributing to service initiatives that benefit the university and the broader community Participating in curriculum development and assessment to ensure academic excellence Collaborating with colleagues to promote a culture of inclusive excellence and diversity Essential Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this position, candidates should possess: A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, advertising, public relations, or social justice A record of relevant professional experience in social media communications Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to engage students and promote academic success A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a willingness to contribute to a culture of inclusive excellence Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: A Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as communications, advertising, public relations, or social justice Experience teaching online courses and using digital learning platforms Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment principles Experience with community engagement and service initiatives Strong networking and partnership-building skills, with the ability to foster relationships with external stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a faculty member at the Donald P.
