Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Assistant Professor of Rhetoric and Composition to join our team in the Department of English. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and research in Rhetoric and Composition, with a particular focus on areas such as professional writing, digital rhetoric/composition, emerging technologies, history of rhetoric, cultural rhetorics, and multilingual literacies. This is a tenure-track position, and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the department's teaching, research, and service mission. Key Responsibilities Teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in Rhetoric and Composition, including courses in professional writing, digital rhetoric/composition, and emerging technologies Develop and maintain an active research program in Rhetoric and Composition, with a focus on areas such as professional writing, digital rhetoric/composition, emerging technologies, history of rhetoric, cultural rhetorics, and multilingual literacies Provide academic advising and mentoring to undergraduate and graduate students Participate in departmental, college, and university service, including serving on committees and contributing to the development of new programs and initiatives Collaborate with interdisciplinary programs on campus, such as Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Contribute to the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Comparative Studies Contribute to the Dorothy F.
