About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Lincoln Park, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. Key Responsibilities:
Teach a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies, to students of different ages and skill levels
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students

Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced educational setting
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
Three professional references, with at least one from a previous direct supervisor
A NJ Substitute Credential
A background check and TB risk assessment (we will cover the cost of this)
Full COVID-19 vaccination

Preferred Qualifications:
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
Previous teaching experience, particularly in a substitute or long-term capacity
Special education experience or training
