About the Substitute Teacher Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our dynamic team in Harrison, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Key Responsibilities Teach a variety of subjects and grade levels, including but not limited to: Kinder, Early Years, Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, High, SpEd, Special Ed, IEP, Paraprofessional, Teaching Aide, Teaching Assistant, TA, Instructional Assistant, Campus Aide, Yard Supervisor, Math, Science, STEM, English, ELA, History, Social Studies, PE, Music, Art, Drama, Theater Studies, Daycare, Teacher assistant Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of your students Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth Build strong relationships with your students, colleagues, and school administrators Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and technologies to ensure you are providing the best possible education for your students Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications: Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits Three professional references with one by a previous direct supervisor NJ Substitute Credential Background check & TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
