About the Role: Early Childhood Soccer Coach We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Soccer Coach to join our team in Long Grove, IL. As a Soccer Shots coach, you will play a vital role in delivering our expert-approved curriculum, which sets us apart from other enrichment programs. You will be responsible for managing and directing all duties related to the operation of a Soccer Shots session, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child, and creating a fun and positive atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression on each child. Key Responsibilities: Preparation: Attend coaches' meetings, review online curriculum, maintain equipment, and arrive on time to set up the field for sessions Coaching: Ensure the safety and well-being of every child, gather children from the classroom (for childcare sites), and conduct fun and positive 30- to 45-minute sessions following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum Communication/Administration: Communicate with supervisors about changes, challenges, or important information, complete online attendance sheets, and submit timesheets per payroll policy Equipment Management: Return equipment and leftover supplies to supervisors upon completion of each season Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you must: Love children and have a passion to make a difference in their lives Have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License Be at least 18 years of age Pass an Illinois & FBI fingerprint Background Check and undergo a medical exam in accordance with DCFS standards Have a soccer background (preferred but not required) Have coaching, childhood education, and/or soccer experience (preferred but not required) Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with children aged 2-8 Knowledge of soccer techniques and strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and competencies: Safety-conscious: Prioritize the safety and well-being of children at all times Caring: Engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation Organized: Plan ahead and conduct each session according to the provided curriculum Responsible: Commit to doing what is expected of you as an outstanding coach and "face" of Soccer Shots Energetic: Bring Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and positive atmosphere Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Soccer Shots, we are committed to the growth and development of our coaches.
