You will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide feedback and support. Your role will be to inspire, motivate, and challenge students to reach their full potential and become lifelong learners. **Key Responsibilities** * Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners * Manage and educate students while helping them discover and fulfill their potential * Document and share student grades and evaluations * Cultivate a creative learning environment and maintain a safe, inviting, and nurturing space for students, staff, and the community * Set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and uphold District discipline policies * Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities * Enhance Peoria Unified's culture which encourages and strengthens parent and community partnerships * Foster positive relationships with students, teachers, parents, and community members * Adheres to effective policies, practices, and accountability of District resources * Maintain accurate and complete records required by law, District policy, and administrative regulation **Requirements** * A valid intern, provisional, or standard Arizona Teaching Certificate; or possess the necessary qualifications to become certified in the state of Arizona * Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card * Specialized teaching assignments may require additional training and/or certification * Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check * Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid government-issued ID * May be required to lift and carry heavy, bulky supplies and materials weighing up to 20 pounds * May be required to lift students weighing up to 60 pounds * May be required to work outside normal working hours * May be required to travel to perform work functions **What We Offer** Peoria Unified School District offers a robust benefits package that can help increase your financial security, advance professionally, and promote a healthy, fulfilling life.
