The Opportunity
As an ACT/SAT Math/Science Prep Tutor at Huntington Learning Center Chattanooga, you will have the opportunity to work with high school students in a one-to-one setting, helping them prepare for the ACT/SAT exams. You will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to ensure that our students achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Work with high school students in a one-to-one setting to prepare them for ACT/SAT exams
Provide personalized instruction and support to help students improve their Math and Science skills
Develop a deep understanding of each student's strengths and weaknesses to create an effective learning plan
Utilize Huntington's proven instructional materials and methods to deliver high-quality instruction
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Communicate regularly with students and parents to ensure that everyone is informed and aligned
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong academic background in Math and/or Science, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be a caring and qualified professional who is committed to helping students achieve academic success.
Essential Qualifications:
4-year degree in a relevant field (Math, Science, Education, or related field)
Experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a test preparation setting
Strong knowledge of ACT/SAT exam format and content
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching certification or license
Experience working with high school students
Knowledge of Huntington's instructional programs and methods
