As an ABA Behavior Therapist / Behavior Technician with our organization, you will play a vital role in implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs designed by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to help our clients achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children on the autism spectrum, tailored to their individual needs and goals. Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during therapy sessions to inform treatment plans and progress monitoring. Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support plans, and execute treatment strategies as directed by your BCBA supervisor. Collaborate closely with your BCBA supervisor to refine and implement ABA therapy techniques and procedures. Respond promptly to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and your supervisors, ensuring a client-centered approach. Maintain a professional demeanor and goal-oriented mindset in all aspects of your work. Demonstrate punctuality and preparedness for all therapy sessions, adhering to scheduled times and activities. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's Degree or be actively pursuing a degree in a related field such as Psychology, Education, or Sociology. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting. 1 year of direct ABA experience; or, in the absence of direct ABA experience, 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, or in a similar role supporting individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, and colleagues. A reliable vehicle and personal means of transportation, as you will be required to travel to client homes. Preferred qualifications include: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience with Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plans for youth and families. Skills and Competencies for Success To thrive as an ABA Behavior Therapist / Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you will need: The ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities requiring fine and gross motor skills, such as bending, kneeling, and squatting. Capacity to sit on the floor or in a chair, or stand for extended periods. Quick response times to the movements and behaviors of children over short distances (up to 100 feet). Flexibility to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, adapting to various environments. A flexible schedule that can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including after-school hours.
