Executive Minister

Objectives: The Executive Minister will help Capitol City Christian Church fulfill its mission of “People Helping People Find & Follow Jesus” by leading the administrative functions of the church. This includes leading the financial team, strategic planning, human resources and operations. Key Interactions: Reports to the Senior Minister. Primary Areas of Responsibility Responsibility #1: Support the Senior Minister in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through strategic planning and project management. • Establish and maintain a set of key performance indicators that provide the Senior Minister and staff with tools to measure ongoing evaluation of all ministry areas in the church. • Facilitate the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance; review of mission, vison, and core values; development of key objectives and tactics; and establishment of 1, 3, and 5-year goals. • Champion the development of infrastructure by all ministries and support areas. Responsibility #2: Serve as the Humans Resource director for all employees at CCCC. • Responsible for the daily management of human resource activities, primarily managing the administration of church programs, policies and procedures. • Maintain all personnel files for church employees regarding salary, timesheets, vacation time, job descriptions and sick days. • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution. Responsibility #3: Operational team oversight. • Develop and oversee operational processes and systems to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and collaboration across the following areas: facilities, finances and administration. Ensure adherence to ethical and Biblical standards alongside legal and regulatory compliance. Many of these responsibilities will be carried out by the operations staff and volunteers, under the oversight of the Executive Minister. • Facilities • Oversee facilities staff team including manager, cleaning staff, etc. • Partner with facilities manager to establish plans for upkeep, renovations and new building projects. • Oversee church calendar for staff including calendar inputs, building use, staff meeting briefing, door lock coordination, etc. • Finance • Collaborate closely with the Senior Minister & Elder board treasurer, and lead the annual budget development process. • Provide monthly department budgets and subsequent reviews where necessary. • Ensure weekly contributions and reconcile deposits. • Manage expenses, deposits, and bank statements. Working Conditions: • Regular office hours with occasional evenings/weekends for meetings or church events. • Will work closely with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers. • Expected to participate in staff prayer, retreats, and community life as appropriate.
