Estimator - Construction - REMOTE Job at Cooper Steel in Florence

Preconstruction Estimator Location: Florence, KY 41022 We are looking to add a Preconstruction Estimator to our team! The successful candidate will be eager to learn and develop new skills. As you gain traction in this role, you will be responsible for analyzing costs and budgets for our projects, as well as providing accurate estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, and possess strong analytical skills. This is an in-office position. Responsibilities: - Learn to analyze costs and budgets for construction projects - Provide accurate estimates for materials, labor, and equipment - Collaborate with estimators, project managers and coordinators to develop project plans - Prepare and submit bids and proposals - Review and analyze project specifications and drawings - Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities - Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors - Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software to create and manage project budgets and estimates - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field - 2 or more years of experience in preconstruction estimating - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other software - Ability to work independently and as part of a team What we offer: ~ Medical Insurance w/ HSA option ~ Vision and Dental Insurance ~ Company-paid LTD ~ Voluntary STD ~ Life Insurance ~401(k) Plan with 6% Employer match ~ Competitive PTO plan Apply tot his job
