Estimating & Pricing Specialist

Analyzes request for proposal/quotation requirements, provides guidance and recommendations to develop executable proposal plans of action, identifies risks/opportunities, and coordinates artifacts required to meet milestones and ensure compliant cost proposal responses. Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of costs estimates, proposals and other related business decision data. Prepares compliant proposals, utilizes system/tools and has the ability to train less experienced employees. Manages large and/or complex Priced Bill of Material from initial planning & development through prime contract post-sweep, and hand-off to Financial Operations. Provides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinates responses through proposal teams, as required. Provides Estimating & Pricing subject matter expertise of processes, tools and techniques to maintain compliance with estimating system requirements.
Identifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy.
