Job Posting Title: ESPN Research Intern, New York City, Summer 2025 Req ID: 10109650 Job Description: About the Role & Program The ESPN Research team is part of the Finance, Strategy and Research organization. The team utilizes all facets of media research (Nielsen, Adobe Analytics, Comscore, etc.) and primary research to inform the company about how the sports category, sports fandom, and specific sports content is performing, and how ESPN can drive even greater consumption in the future. The program dates are June 2nd through August 8, 2025. If selected for this role, you will report to the Senior Analyst, Research, Sports. What You Will Do As an intern, you will participate in the collection, analysis, and communication of audience data for ESPN’s linear and digital media properties. The focus for this internship will be live sports, both on ESPN linear TV Networks and DTC platforms. The intern will be charged with providing actionable insight to ESPN’s Programming & Production departments, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and other core constituents. Responsibilities include: Using Nielsen software to query data for networks and programs Aiding in data analysis for ESPN and competitive content across broadcast, cable, and streaming Working on primary research projects, including managing surveys, qualitative interviews, and fan community activities covering ESPN sports properties Required Qualifications & Skills Strong attention to detail Willingness to be flexible, eager to learn new software and data organization processes Strong proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Comfortable working with numbers Strong interest in television content and the media landscape Deep knowledge of sports and the sports media landscape preferred Preferred Qualifications & Skills Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint Previous internship experience in a similar industry Education Junior or Senior year preferred Major or previous coursework in Business Administration, Finance or related major preferred Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program Be at least 18 years of age Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship Fully available Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York City area Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work #ESPN Media The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.00 per hour.
