Job Summary We are seeking a highly qualified ESL Teacher to join our team at Newburg Middle School. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction to students who are learning English as a second language. You will work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure that students receive a comprehensive education and make progress towards their academic goals. Key Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to ESL students in a supportive and engaging learning environment Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state and national standards for ESL education Assess student progress and communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure that ESL students receive a comprehensive education Maintain accurate records and reports, including student progress and lesson plans Enforce Board policies, regulations, and rules, and supervise students in a safe and respectful learning environment Essential Qualifications: Kentucky certification in ESL (English as a Second Language) Experience and preparation required by the Board to ensure consistency for students and a strong teacher in place as soon as possible Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff Organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience working with diverse student populations Knowledge of ESL instructional strategies and best practices Experience with curriculum development and implementation What We Offer At Jefferson County Public Schools, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our educators.
