Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking an Environmental Health, Safety & Specialist to join their team. As an Environmental Health, Safety & Specialist, you will be part of the EHSS department supporting safety, environmental, and sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Environmental Health, Safety & Specialist

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

What's the Job?
• Serve as the facility lead for environmental and sustainability compliance, ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, FRA, and corporate requirements.
• Support EHSS department goals and contribute to plant-wide safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives.
• Maintain and update product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and review new chemicals for compliance.
• Manage environmental and sustainability data collection, analysis, and reporting (e.g., energy, water, waste, GHG emissions, incident trends).
• Support ISO 14001 and Eco Vadis certification activities, including audits, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?
• Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical industry preferred).
• Prior involvement with ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001, Eco Vadis, OSHA VPP, or similar certification programs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage compliance documentation and audits effectively.
