Experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician for Night Shift Operations – Industrial Mechanical Systems Expertise Required

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Palm Bay, FL, for night shift operations. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial mechanical systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of various equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot industrial-type plant mechanical systems, including chillers, air handlers, air distribution, controls, VFDs, pumps, and exhaust fans Perform walkdowns, record data, and ensure proper operation of systems, including DI water plant, waste treatment plant, nitrogen plant, and chiller plants Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, water systems, compressed air systems, vacuum systems, controls systems, and life safety systems Research vendors for required parts and provide management with proposals/quotes on required parts and/or materials Install different types of mechanical systems, including pumps, fans, valves, controls, and piping Support engineering and management in construction-type projects or modification-type projects for different plant systems Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A minimum of 3 years of experience working in one or more of the following areas: industrial HVAC systems, refrigeration, air handling, fluid pumps, chillers, air compressors, and vacuum pumps Training and/or certification in areas such as refrigerant, laser alignment, and vibration analysis are desirable Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches Excellent oral and written communication skills Demonstrated problem-solving ability Preferred Qualifications Strength in one or more of the following facility disciplines is a plus: Controls/automation systems: pneumatic and DDC hardware and software (TAC, Andover, Schneider) Electrical systems: 460 volts and under Process piping: layout, fabrication, and installation (Orbital, MIG, TIG) Life safety systems: fire alarm and gas detection Water systems: high purity and waste treatment Education and Experience We require: A minimum of 3 years of experience High school graduate or equivalent, but preference is given to those with an AS or AA in electro-mechanical curriculum or skilled trades military training Must be a U.S. Citizen Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits Launch and advance your career in technical and business roles across four product groups and various corporate functions Explore our hardware and software capabilities and try new things Make a real impact by developing automotive, industrial, infrastructure, IoT, and sustainable products and solutions to meet our customers' evolving needs and help people and communities thrive tomorrow Maximize your performance and wellbeing in our flexible and inclusive work environment Work Environment and Company Culture Our company culture is built on a people-first approach, with a global support system, including remote work options and Employee Resource Groups.
