They are seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their Advanced Facilities - Electronics team in Tempe, AZ, where the role involves working on structural design projects and gaining experience in structural analysis and design under the guidance of Professional Engineers. Responsibilities Work on projects that enable the heart of clients’ business Assist in the performance of structural analysis and design for projects Perform increasingly complex calculations and analysis as the structural design is developed Work with Designers to communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model Develop understanding of principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards Manage own workload and meet commitments while taking ownership of the structural scope Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with a clear emphasis on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Excellent communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, and interpersonal skills This position is considered project site/hybrid and may require you to work in the local office, at a project site, or from your home (within approximately 50 miles of site) Internet service with a MINIMUM speed of 25Mbps download/10Mbps upload as required to effectively meet project performance requirements (higher internet speed is recommended) Sponsorship is not available for this position MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with an emphasis on Structural Engineering Previous relevant internship experience in Structural Engineering, preferably with experience analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Familiarity with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC Benefits Medical Dental Vision Basic life insurance 401(k) plan The ability to purchase company stock at a discount Deferred compensation plan Executive Deferral Plan Unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees Seven paid holidays One floating holiday Caregiver leave Merit increases Performance discretionary bonus Stock Company Overview Jacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
