Position Overview Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for a Rating Technician-Auto Operations (Technical Analyst) to focus on the development of carrier rate books pertaining to various insurance carriers across Canada. In this role, you will develop, test, and maintain underwriting rules and rates (including coding) as they pertain to each of the insurance carriers for use in the entire suite of our products. After verifying the quality of the carrier rate books, work is submitted for Quality Control. What You’ll DoData entry of rates and territoriesStay educated on changes related to underwriting guidelinesAssist the Development team with creating and testing new system updates and applicationsAssist Quality Control team with testing as required We’re Excited to Learn More About You Your experience may include: 0-2 years of experience as a Technical Analyst.Ability to demonstrate and maintain a complete understanding of underwriting guidelinesAbility to learn the full suite of Applied Rating Services productsComfortable around technology/strong computer skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent self-management skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environmentStrong analytical skills, including high attention to detailStrong follow-through and organizational skillsPassionate about meeting goals and deadlinesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Programming, or related field.You may have other skills or credentials, including:Experience with Excel, XML, and Data Analysis toolsExperience with JIRA or similar tools.Bilingualism (French & English) an assetInsurance industry exposure.LocationCan work hybrid/remote or from an Applied Systems office.When You Join Team Applied, You Can Expect: A culture that values who you are and recognizes that you aren’t just an employee; you are a teammate, and you matter.
