DESCRIPTION Works under supervision to provide claims service to customers using multiple communication channels. Evaluates initial claims for completeness, processes payments and contacts the customer to explain settlements. Escalates problems to resolve any coverage issues or damage disputes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Processes payments for low to moderately complex claims. Collaborates with internal resources to facilitate claims resolution. Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology. Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events. Acquires and applies basic knowledge of claims insurance industry products, services, and processes to include insurance policy contracts and coverage's and how they affect the status of the claim. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED. Computer literate in a Windows operating environment. This position will require an Insurance Adjuster's license. You must pass a licensing exam within a designated number of attempts and can become licensed in all applicable states. Allcat will provide the study and training environment to assist you with the licensing exam. Strong customer service, communication, organizational skills. Ability to work with routine and/or repetitive activities but also be responsive to disruption and change. Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization. Must be accurate and detail-oriented. Ability to learn new technologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS College degree. Prior claims adjusting experience. Prior customer service experience. Experience using XactAnalysis and Xactimate. Active adjuster’s License. Prior military experience. TRAINING Licensing. You must obtain your license within 3 testing attempts (paid for by Allcat). Property & Casualty insurance industry products and services. Claims processes, systems and technology. Employees attending training are expected to meet Allcat’s established standards for performance, attendance and conduct. Employees must complete all training. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.23 hr Allcat Claims Service, LP is a total solution provider for all of your insurance claims needs. We can handle all aspects of your claims process, including initial calls received during normal business hours; as well as weekends, after hours and emergency call centers. We can also handle the estimating, closing and issuing of checks for the claim as well as issuing depreciation holdback and indemnity checks. With our real-time electronic reporting and tracking of claims, you will always be able to have the most updated information for your organization to make the most informed decisions.
