Key Responsibilities and Projects

As a Summer Intern in Delta's IT team, you'll be assigned to various projects and tasks that may include:

Collaborating on data analytics projects, creating performance dashboards, and service level agreements with various products
Working on IT tasks in Business Analyst, Developer, Systems Engineer, or Data Analytic/BI roles
Gathering requirements for development, design, and testing of decision support systems
Utilizing various technologies and techniques, such as Java/JEE, JSON, Spring, Angular, Agile/DevOps delivery, API, JavaScript, C++ on Linux, Python, REST, XML, web services, HTML, Oracle, and emerging mobile technologies


Essential Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


A commitment to completing the 13-week summer internship program (May 13 – August 9, 2024)
Willingness to work from either the Atlanta or Minneapolis-St. Paul office (hybrid work schedule with management approval)
A minimum 2.5 GPA and completion of at least 2 years in a university program with a degree emphasis in Computer Science, Software Development, Systems/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics/Operations Research, Cyber Security, Business Management, or a related field
Strong analytical, leadership, written, and verbal communication skills
Embracing diverse people, thinking, and styles
Prioritizing safety and security, and possessing a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
Being at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States
