As an English Language Arts Tutor with Tutor Doctor, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in areas such as high school level language arts and writing, reading fluency, language arts, reading comprehension, and homework preparation. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement customized lesson plans, tailored to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, one-on-one tutoring to students in English Language Arts, including reading, writing, and homework preparation
Develop and implement customized lesson plans to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student
Effectively balance tutoring hours and manage multiple student assignments
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and the Tutor Doctor office to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain accurate records and submit session reports within 24 hours of each tutoring session
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a focus on tutoring or teaching in specialized education fields
Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus, but not required
Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administrative skills
Reliable transportation, current car insurance, and access to a computer, internet, and smartphone
Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, with the ability to prepare lesson plans and adapt to different learning styles
