We have now delivered this winning product to more than 40 countries globally and are continuing to expand to more markets in the coming months. The company is well funded, and as of December 2024, we've reached a $1B valuation with our Series C round, through key partners like Accel, OpenAI, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Lachy Groom, Josh Buckley, and more. We’re a team of more than 90 based throughout San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, and Ljubljana.About this roleAs an Engineering Manager, Growth on Speak’s engineering team, you will lead initiatives that drive user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization. You’ll work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Design, and Data to identify high-leverage opportunities, run experiments, and iterate quickly. You will manage a team of engineers, guide technical strategy, and help shape a product used by millions globally.What you’ll be doingLead the engineering strategy for growth-related initiatives, such as onboarding optimization, pricing experimentation, lifecycle messaging and paywall iterationPartner with Product and Data to design and run A/B tests focused on conversion, retention, and engagementOversee technical implementation of monetization experiments, including paywalls, subscriptions, pricing, and offer logicGuide and mentor a team of engineers through technical and career developmentCollaborate with infra and data teams to ensure our experimentation frameworks and analytics pipelines are robust and scalableSupport international growth through localization, regionalized feature development, and launch-readiness effortsWhat we’re looking for7+ years of industry experience, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership rolebonus: experience in growth-focused product teamsbonus: experience scaling products to millions of users globallyStrong technical background with hands-on experience in backend or mobile systemsDeep understanding of experimentation frameworks, data instrumentation, and growth loopsExperience managing and mentoring high-performing engineering teamsFamiliarity with monetization platforms like RevenueCat, Google Play Store or StoreKitStrong product intuition and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, Designers, and AnalystsExcellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a strong bias for actionWhy work at SpeakJoin a fantastic, tight-knit team at the right time: we're growing very quickly, we've most recently raised our Series C from some of the top investors in the valley, and we've achieved product-market fit in our initial markets.
