Engineering Manager - Applications Platform
OVERVIEW
This position can be based out of San Francisco, New York City or Seattle.
Join us as an Engineering Manager to lead our Application Platform team within the Platform organization. In this role, you will lead a team dedicated to building features and frameworks that empower all of Modern Treasurys products. Youll be at the forefront of creating scalable solutions that enable exceptional product development across our organization, focusing on key areas such as frontend infrastructure, API infrastructure, data import/export frameworks, authentication (AuthN) and authorization (AuthZ) frameworks, among other platform capabilities.
As an engineering leader of this team, you will
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders to deliver features and frameworks that enable product teams to move faster and with higher quality, at scale.
Define and drive a technical roadmap that aligns with Modern Treasurys growth, balancing near-term deliverables with long-term scalability and maintainability.
Foster cross-functional collaboration across the engineering organization to identify and prioritize platform-level opportunities that unlock broader business impact.
Drive a culture of engineering excellence and operational rigor within the team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
Mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team of engineers, supporting their growth and creating a culture of accountability and excellence.
Were seeking a seasoned engineering leader with 4+ years of management experience and a strong track record of delivering platform-level solutions in high-growth environments. Youll succeed if you:
Are passionate about empowering engineering teams through robust tooling and frameworks.
Have deep technical expertise, including experience building and scaling systems, ideally with exposure to Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
Excel at balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution, ensuring high-impact delivery.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor, develop, and retain a high-performing team while fostering accountability and excellence.
Ideally, bring experience in building platforms in FinTech, with a focus on supporting enterprise customers.

$200K $270K Offers Equity Offers Bonus
Placement within this range depends upon a variety of factors, including prior experience, skill set and location. Our compensation also includes generous benefits and company equity.
