They are seeking an Engineer-in-Training to assist in customer-driven Telecom and distribution projects, engaging with stakeholders and contributing to design and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesCreate & review detailed designs, estimates, work packages, and specifications for distribution service projects under the supervision of a Professional EngineerProvide estimates, planning, and coordination of engineering and construction activities for new service installationsLiaise with internal stakeholders, Design Build Company (DBC) external customers, and design consultants; proactively manage client expectations and resolve technical/project issues in a timely mannerEnsure designs are safe, practical, economical, and constructible while meeting all applicable standards, codes, regulations, and ENMAX requirementsUndertake special projects as required by the Program Lead and/or ManagerProvide exceptional customer service by proactively managing client expectations and resolving technical and project issues in a timely mannerIdentify and support process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesOrganize assumptions and risks clearly for review and authentication by the Professional EngineerSkillsB.Sc. degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistered (or eligible to register) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of Alberta (APEGA)Sound engineering and operational knowledge of distribution utility systemsWorking knowledge with Bluebeam and PLS-CADD software in a project settingComfort engaging with customers and partners; strong verbal and written communication skills to set expectations and build positive relationshipsProven time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks, juggle competing demands, and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environmentExceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills; willingness to learn and grow within ENMAX DistributionValid Class 5 driver's license with no more than 6 demerits; able to attend site visitsDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information and set expectations with diverse stakeholdersResilient and adaptable, thriving in environments where priorities shift and volume is consistently highEffective at managing customer expectations and building positive relationshipsCollaborative team player who supports others and contributes to a positive, inclusive workplaceMust be legally entitled to work in Canada and successfully complete a criminal background check; two pieces of valid government-issued ID will be requiredEducation requirements for this position will be verified by a third partyApplicants may be required to provide a current driver's abstract (those with more than 6 demerits will not be considered) and must meet ENMAX's insurance requirementsBenefitsComprehensive flexible benefits programFree onsite fitness facilityOnsite massageOnsite child care centre (subject to availability)Free parkingCompany OverviewENMAX makes, moves, and sells electricity to residential, small business and large commercial customers.
