Overview:

Improves revenue cycle performance by using EMR data to support accurate billing and faster reimbursement. Works closely with billing, coding, IT, and clinical teams to resolve issues, ensure clean claims, and support compliance. Assists with audits, reporting, and staff training while helping maintain efficient system operations.

This role requires someone who is organized, able to manage multiple tasks, and work both independently and with teams. Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills are essential.
Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
• Optimizes revenue cycle processes through detailed analysis of electronic medical record (EMR) data
• Collaborates with billing, coding, IT, and clinical teams to ensure accurate claim submissions
• Resolves discrepancies to improve cash flow and support revenue capture
• Supports compliance initiatives and revenue integrity strategies
• Conducts audits and generates performance and operational reports
• Provides training and troubleshooting support for EMR revenue cycle systems
• Maintains efficient operations through timely resolution of system issues

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent, plus three (3) or more years of related work experience
• Two (2) years of work experience may be substituted with two (2) years of college coursework in Business, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, or a related field

Preferred:
• Associate degree
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle analysis
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and revenue cycle software
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial and operational reporting
• Experience collaborating with billing, coding, and clinical teams
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• Experience in credentialing and a high comfort level working within multiple applications
