Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Specialized Class Instructor to teach, organize, and supervise instructional classes for active aging adults in various areas of expertise. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
Developing and teaching engaging classes for adults 55+
Overseeing the use of facilities and ensuring participant safety
Maintaining accurate records of class attendance and communicating effectively with supervisors, staff, and participants
Providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with participants, coworkers, and the general public
Assisting with marketing and distribution of program materials
Inspecting program areas and equipment for potential hazards
Adhering to department policies and procedures
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
At least one year of experience in a specific program area
Experience working with adults 55+ (preferred)
Sufficient skill in a specific area, with the ability to develop a teaching plan and communicate effectively
A positive attitude, patience, and a willingness to learn
