Position Summary The Employment Engagement Coach is a key connector between New Moms participants and the employment community. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong employer partnerships, matching participants to quality jobs, and providing retention and advancement coaching to support long-term career success. The Employment Engagement Coach is an important contributor to organizational culture, service excellence, and program impact—approaching the work with a systems-thinking mindset to create efficiencies and deepen partnerships that support workflow. This position establishes an environment of trust, respect, and collaboration, and will champion all New Moms values. Location: Chicago’s East Garfield Park neighborhood Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week Starting Salary: $48,000 - $50,000 What a Day Might Look Like You start your day at Bright Endeavors, checking in with program coaches about participants ready for job placement. Mid-morning, you visit a local employer to discuss their upcoming hiring needs and share updates about participant successes. After lunch, you coach a participant through interview prep and review her resume, celebrating her confidence and growth. Later in the day, you update employer records, confirm next week’s career outing, and follow up with a participant who just completed her first 30 days on the job—reminding her that you’re in her corner every step of the way. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain employer partnerships to create quality job opportunities, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with business needs. • Coach participants through every phase of job readiness, placement, and retention, and helping them identify strengths, overcome barriers, and achieve lasting employment. • Match participants to open positions and support job search activities, including resumes, interviews, and follow-up. • Provide retention and advancement support, staying connected post-placement to promote long-term success. • Track data and outcomes for employer engagement, job placements, and participant progress in compliance with program and funder requirements. • Collaborate across Workforce Development, Job Training, and social enterprise teams to ensure coordinated services and shared success. Work Environment: Must be able to sit/stand for up to 8 hours, walk stairs, and lift up to 30–40 lbs (or perform with reasonable accommodation). Work environments may vary.
