Job Description
Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has an immediate opening for an off-track Employment Advice & Counsel attorney with at least 8 years of experience in Employment Advising & Counseling. Resident in the firm's Los Angeles or San Fransico office, the ideal candidate will have solid knowledge of employment law, including hands-on experience handling a range of employment matters.The candidate should have experience with handbook reviews, employment and separation agreements and other routine matters including but not limited to harassment, wrongful termination, contract disputes, workplace discrimination, and whistleblower protection. If preferred by the candidate, this position can be a 60% FTE position, with occasional telework consistent with work responsibilities.
It is required that the candidate have a bachelor's degree and a juris doctorate degree (JD) from an accredited law school. The candidate must be a member of the California Bar. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal communication skills (both oral and written), strong analytical skills, and knowledge of and a commitment to the ethics and conduct codes that are a requirement for the proper and legal practice of the law.
Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act.
California Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $200k - $215k.
