Email Marketing Specialist + Web Designer
Role Overview: This role blends email strategy, design, and front-end Shopify development. You will concept, design, build, and optimize the emails and web experiences that drive customer engagement, retention, and product discovery. If you love mixing creativity with technical execution, this is for you. This is a part-time, contractual role but can lead to more opportunities if the fit is right. Key Responsibilities:Email Marketing & CRM • Plan, design, and execute email campaigns for promotions, product launches, and customer lifecycle flows. • Use HTML/CSS to build custom emails and refine templates. • Manage segmentation, A/B tests, deliverability, and weekly performance reporting. • Develop automated journeys that increase retention and LTV. • Maintain a consistent brand tone and visual identity across all email communications. Shopify Development • Design, build, and update Shopify pages including landing pages, collection pages, and promotional sections. • Ensure layouts are mobile-responsive and aligned with best UX practices. • Work with Liquid, HTML, CSS, and Shopify page builders to implement visual and functional improvements. • Troubleshoot minor theme issues and collaborate on larger development needs as they arise. Graphic + Creative Design • Create visually appealing assets for email, web, and occasional social use. • Develop cohesive layouts, color palettes, and design elements aligned with Sipsy’s brand. • Provide creative direction on campaigns, promotions, and seasonal themes. • Use design tools such as Figma, Adobe Suite, or Canva to quickly produce high-quality visuals. What We’re Looking For: • 3+ years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or e-commerce. • Strong HTML/CSS skills, especially for email rendering best practices. • Hands-on Shopify experience (page building, theme edits, Liquid familiarity a plus). • Proven graphic design skills with a strong aesthetic and attention to detail. • Experience with Klaviyo or similar email automation tools. • Ability to analyze performance metrics and continuously optimize. • Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
