About the Role The Elementary Curriculum Coordinator is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the elementary curriculum across grades K-5. This role is crucial in ensuring that our students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader with a passion for teaching and learning, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the elementary curriculum, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, to ensure a cohesive and rigorous educational program. Collaborate with the team of curriculum coordinators to ensure alignment and coherence between content areas and across levels. Work closely with instructional coaches, specialists, classroom teachers, and the administrative team to provide ongoing instructional leadership and professional development. Lead and participate in communication with stakeholders, including staff, the Board of Education, and parents, to ensure transparency and collaboration. Lead elementary math and literacy teams in analyzing student performance data, making collaborative decisions, and allocating resources effectively. Supervise elementary instructional coaches and align professional learning to continuously improve the coaching model. Oversee elementary RTI (Response to Intervention) practices to ensure that all students receive the support they need to succeed. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A successful record of teaching and leadership in an elementary setting. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional improvement, and assessment. Knowledge of research-based instructional strategies and curriculum development. Experience cultivating effective professional relationships and navigating team dynamics. CT Intermediate Administrator certification (092). Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A deep understanding of best practices in elementary education. Experience with data-driven instruction and assessment. A proven track record of improving student outcomes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $161,918-$173,567 per year, as per the Westport Intermediate Administrators Agreement (2023-2026).
