Electrical Design Engineering Supervisor

ā¢ The Electrical Design Engineering Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating activities of an assigned Electrical Engineering team, providing oversight to ensure project deliverables are completed to standards and within established deadlines.
ā¢ He or She will also assist the Engineering Manager with resource allocations, operating quality/efficiency/on-schedule performance, group utilization, HR related items, implement policies, as well as travelling to customer's sites.
ā¢ The Electrical Design Engineering Supervisor is focused on designing complete control solutions for site-based conveyor systems for distribution, fulfillment, parcel, and warehouse applications.
ā¢ The applicant will be part of an engineering team deploying complex material handling solutions for various customers and container types.
ā¢ A successful applicant will have a desire to learn and improve upon numerous technologies developed by FORTNA in sortation, singulation, gapping, induction, merging etc.
Requirements:
ā¢ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required / Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering is a Plus.
ā¢ 3+ years of previous Material Handling Experience is required.
ā¢ 3+ years of progressive people management or a focused work team of engineers, prefer in material handling / parcel industry.
ā¢ Knowledge of AB, Schneider, Beckhoff and/or Siemens electrical products.
ā¢ Knowledge of hardware used in material handling systems, i.e. sorters, conveyors, panel electrical components, field electrical components etc.
ā¢ Advanced Knowledge and experience of NEC and NFPA and UL508A.
ā¢ Familiarity with PLCs (AB, Beckhoff, or Siemens), and VFD solutions. PLC programming experience is a plus.
ā¢ Familiarity with Indusoft, Wonderware, FactoryTalk View and / or Ignition is a plus.
